Malayan Tiger
Beneath drifting jungle mist and fractured moonlight, a Malayan tiger moves silently through the rainforest shadows.
This original conservation artwork by Sly Foxx Atelier explores both the beauty and fragility of one of the world’s most critically endangered big cats.
Once widespread across Southeast Asia, the Malayan tiger now faces severe population decline due to habitat loss, poaching, and fragmentation of the rainforest ecosystems it depends upon for survival.
This piece is being created as part of Sly Foxx Atelier’s ongoing conservation collection — a body of work dedicated to wildlife preservation, regional storytelling, and meaningful partnerships with conservation-focused institutions.
Artistic Direction
The composition places the tiger within a humid nighttime jungle environment illuminated by filtered moonlight and atmospheric fog.
Rather than presenting the animal as aggressive or theatrical, the scene focuses on quiet presence, intelligence, and tension within the darkness.
Soft beams of cool moonlight cut through dense tropical vegetation while rising mist partially obscures the environment around the tiger, creating a cinematic but naturalistic atmosphere rooted in realism and emotional weight.
The final original artwork will be created using gouache and mixed media techniques on archival heavyweight paper.
Conservation Focus
The Malayan tiger is classified as Critically Endangered, with fewer than 150 individuals believed to remain in the wild.
Conservation efforts focus on:
Habitat protection
Anti-poaching enforcement

Through conservation-focused artwork, Sly Foxx Atelier aims to create visual storytelling that encourages awareness, conversation, and direct support for wildlife preservation initiatives.
